![]() ![]() ![]() Also, it seems you can’t order the fragrance online in Canada…damn restrictions! On Sephora‘s website they no longer carry the body wash…but it’s still available at. Price of the body wash is $20USD and the rollerball was $19USD. At least it’s travel-friendly so I can reapply often, but at this rate it will be gone in a couple months. The staying power of the fragrance leaves MUCH to be desired I find it dissipates on me within an hour or two. Since I was on a major spree, I grabbed the rollerball version of the scent and have been enjoying it – the scent at least. Instantly I was drawn to the Vanilla Grapefruit scent (notes are: sparkling grapefruit, crisp sandalwood, lime, and Madagascar vanilla), which reminds me strongly of Hanae Mori’s ‘Butterfly’, which I wore all last summer. When I visited Sephora last week, for some reason I was compelled to smell the Lavanilla fragrances just out of idle curiosity. It doesn’t strip my skin of moisture, to be sure, but I think all the botanicals and extracts are too much for my sensitive skin. ![]() Sadly, I immediately felt itchy and uncomfortable once I applied it to my skin, and even rinsing thoroughly didn’t help matters – my eczema flares every time I use it. Even more disappointing, I had high hopes that due to the natural aspects of the wash, that it wouldn’t irritate my eczema and leave my skin feeling comfortable rather than dry. It’s described as an ‘exotic blend of fresh coconut oil, Tahitian tiare flower, and warm Madagascar vanilla,’ and unfortunately for this non-floral loving gal, I get more flower power than vanilla coconut. The scent, while definitely not ‘fake’ smelling, isn’t really all that pleasant either. Unfortunately, for all the great reasons to love the product, I was left disappointed with both the scent and the gentleness of the body wash. When my Sephora package came, I eagerly hopped in the shower to try it out. Additionally, the brand touts ‘all-natural’ ingredients and is ‘free of harsh and possibly toxic chemicals,’ using coconut oil to gently cleanse the skin, and cocoa seed & shea butters and olive oil to keep skin hydrated, among a host of other good-for-your-skin ingredients. The description of the scent sounded right up my alley – I love anything coconut scented, and I’m often drawn to fragrances with notes of vanilla, so – match made in heaven! I read some reviews that said the fragrance wasn’t cloying or fake-smelling, which sounded promising as well. The sweet flowery smell of this perfume indeed makes every women feel like a butterfly, beautiful and feminine.Last month, I ordered the Vanilla Coconut body wash from Lavanilla. The cap is sculpted in the shape of closed wings of a butterfly. The bottle is plain to look at, but the cap comes with a twist. This is something very rare and special.Ĭoming to the packaging, it comes in white box with blue butterflies on it. This means it does not dry down, the perfume smells same even hours after application as it smells at the time of application. Another very interesting thing about this fragrance is that this is a linear fragrance. However, after 6 hours, one needs to hug you to feel this fragrance. ![]() It is not so strong that everyone in the lift will notice your smell even after you leave, but one can notice it if standing with you in the queue. I apply 3-4 sprays of it in the morning and the smell lingers on me almost 9-10 hours and sometimes throughout the day (when not much outdoor activity). On staying power also, it scores very well. I have been lucky enough to try my hands on Hanae Mori Butterfly EDP and all thanks goes to IMBB for that. Hanae Mori Butterfly perfume range is one of them, it has perfume Oil, EDP, EDT and perfumed lotions and creams. It seems that she has been fascinated by butterflies a lot and that reflects in her creations too. Because of all her achievements, she is widely regarded as an icon of liberated women. While reading about her, I came to know that she is the only Japanese women to present her collection on runways of Paris and NY. Reason being it’s not easily available in India and we Bangaloreans are still deprived of Sephora □ So, coming to the perfume, this has been designed by the famous Japanese Designer Hanae Mori. Frankly speaking, before seeing this product in Sponsored products list, I was not aware about this perfume. As designer perfumes are timeless, so I decided to pick a perfume from the list, and this time, I went for Hanae Mori Butterfly EDP. However, finally my leave is approved and I am going to visit my parents and my parents in law at the end of this month and I am super excited about it □ Coming to today’s review, this is my pick from December’s IMBB Sponsored product list. I am going very busy from the last one month, office work and daily chores is driving me insane and I am dying for a break. ![]()
